Would you like to try one of the fastest growing and most exciting sports going? Maybe you've already had a surf lesson and want the opportunity to practice your new skills or perhaps you just want to get out there and give it a go. Either way we have the equipment to get you going and start having the time of your life!

NCS' mobile surf hire service, based in Crackington Haven, is aimed at giving you the maximum time in the water with the minimum of fuss. Our service includes delivery of all equipment to your holiday accommodation and collection at the end of the hire period. Deliveries or collections are available from 8:00am to 8:00pm giving you the flexibility to surf when you want and where you want.
Our delivery area takes in the localities of Bude, Widemouth Bay, Crackington Haven and Boscastle. If you are not sure if your accommodation falls within this area, or you wish delivery to be made outside this area then please contact us to discuss your requirements.

We can supply soft surfboards, wetsuits, boots and soft roof racks so you can transport your boards to and from the beach on your own car.

As members of the Surf Hire Safety Scheme you are assured that the equipment you hire from us is regularly maintained and inspected and is appropriate for your ability and experience. We also provide general surf safety advice as well as beach specific advice with regard to both safety and the best surf conditions.

Boards - The boards we hire are our own brand soft surfboards available in 6', 7', 8' and 9' lengths. These boards are excellent for learners, improvers and intermediates. They meet the requirements of The British Surfing Association for learner use, are Irish Surfing Association Approved and are used by many surf schools throughout the UK and Ireland . Due to their soft construction the boards provide a very safe introduction to surfing for children and adults alike. More competent surfers will be surprised to discover how “surfable” these boards are. They are truly great all rounders!

6' Model
6' x 20" x 3" - A great little kids surfboard as well as for intermediates and improvers. Nice and manoeuvrable whilst retaining stability and buoyancy.

7' Model
7' x 21 ½" x 3 ¼" - A perfect learner surfboard for children and ideal as an intermediate and improvers board

8' Model
8' x 22 ½" x 3 ½" - The standard softboard length for most surf schools and the best all rounder. Suitable for children and adults. Its extra width gives good stability and buoyancy together with great paddling speed

9' Model
9' x 23 ¾" x 3 ¾" - A very wide surfboard with lots of volume, giving excellent stability and buoyancy for those larger adults who are new to the sport

Wetsuits - We use Alder and Rip Curl wetsuits and will provide an appropriate suit for the season in which you are hiring. This will normally mean 3/2mm suit for summer use, moving to a 4/3 or 5/3 suit plus boots for winter use.

Roof Straps - Creatures of Leisure soft roof racks can be hired to transport your boards on the roof of your car.

Advice

We can provide friendly and genuine advice on surfing in the area. We will tell you the best beaches to go to given the conditions during your stay. In doing this we can help you to maximise your surf time and enjoyment during you hire period. We can also give advice and information on North Cornwall and particularly the Bude area including attractions, activities, events, pubs, restaurants etc. If you want to know anything just ask us, if we don't know then I'm sure we'll know someone who does!

Terms and Conditions

For delivery purposes, the hirer must provide us with their full name and the address (including postcode if possible) of their accommodation together with a contact number.

Cancellations notified 48 hours or more in advance of the commencement of the hire period will not incur any charges.

Cancellations made less than 48hrs but more than 24hrs before commencement of hire will incur a 25% cancellation fee.

Cancellations made less than 24hrs before commencement of hire will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

Once the period of hire has commenced no refunds will be given.

We reserve the right to re-hire equipment that has not been collected/delivered 24hrs after collection/delivery was due unless we have received updated instructions on the time/location of collection/delivery.
