Welcome to NCS Surfboards

Learning to surf
As part of our development program we make sure that we know how the softboards surf ourselves. It wouldn't be right for us to be marketing a product without having first-hand experience of them in action. It is also very important for us to know that our soft surfboards are as good as we say they are! After all, we want our customers to be completely satisfied with our products and after sales service and to keep coming back and back......

For the 2007 season we changed our fins by using a far superior material and gave the fins a lower profile and wider base. The new fin shape has actually increase performance whilst at the same time made the boards more 'stackable' when loading them into your van or trailer.

For 2008 we are making several more changes to improve the boards further. One of the issues raised by customers this season has been that the slick bottom tends to crack under impact and when the boards are used for 'pop-ups' on the beach, particularly if there are any small stones in the sand. In response to this we have changed the slick bottom material to one that is far more resistant to impact and we feel this will make a huge difference to the durabilty of the boards.

The video playing below demonstrates the strength of the new slick bottom when put to the test with a hammer!

Further developments for 2008 include the following:

  • Fully moulded plastic leash attachment which will do away with the existing design using the string loop
We are constantly looking to improve our products where possible and as part of this program we took our range of softboards on a surf trip to Ireland back and put them through their paces. Our test riders Marcus and Pat rode the 6’ and 9’ models at some small beach breaks in the remote south west.

Check out the Gallery for shots of the trip.

We take customer feedback very seriously and we encourage customers to give us as much information on their experiences with our softboards as possible. In this way we can continually improve and evolve the boards taking into account our customer’s requirements and wishes.

If you are an existing customer and have any comments or suggestions to make then please do so by sending us an e-mail. Your comments will be taken seriously and if necessary could result in design changes being implemented.
